Audiobooks

Directing audiobooks for Penguin Random House is some of the most rewarding work I do. Serving an author's vision, taking the world they've built on the page and helping bring it to life in a way that honors their intention, is deeply meaningful to me. It moves me every time. I cherish working in collaboration with the narrator, engineer, and the whole production team guiding the emotionality, cadence, and texture of the story. At the center of it all is always the author's work, and the responsibility of getting it right. It's beautifully technical and improvisational all at once, and no two days, and definitely no two books, are ever the same.

I've worked with a remarkable range of narrators, from emerging voices to some of the most celebrated in the industry, including Audie winners Cassandra Campbell, Julia Whelan, and Gabrielle de Cuir, Earphones winner Saskia Maarleveld, and Peter Coyote.

The work has been recognized by the ALA, Junior Library Guild, AudioFile, Publishers Weekly, Booklist, Kirkus, Time, NPR, Lit Hub, and the Goodreads Choice Awards.
